Welwyn Garden Summer Lanes

We will be cycling out to explore local villages near to Welwyn Garden City with a different route each ride. Likely routes include, Welham Green, Brookmans Park, Kimpton, The Ayots, Codicote, Nomansland, Tewin, Brickendon, Bayford, - and other local villages. We will cycle circular routes taking us out from Welwyn Garden early evening and back before dark. We will ride mostly on country lanes. Some sections will be busier with evening traffic, but we will stay close. There will be hills and where we separate, we will regroup at the top or at the bottom.
Rides are weather dependent so in the event of stormy weather, rides may be cancelled at short notice so please keep an eye on messages.

Helmets are compulsory. High visibility weather appropriate clothing must be worn - be safe, be seen. Cycling mitts are recommended for bumpy sections of roads. Front and rear cycle lights are recommended. Please ensure your water bottle is full and bring small snacks or energy gels / bars if needed. Spare inner tubes, levers, a pump and puncture repair kit are recommended if you have them. In case of any incidents, please have the telephone number of a friend or relative that is available to assist in your return journey home.
