Burscough

An exploration of the rolling flat mosses and quiet roads behind Burscough. You'll start at the Sport Centre in Burscough and head west towards Southport, taking in the beauty of the Leeds and Liverpool canal and its quirky bridges almost straight away. Heading out over the moss you'll find the views plentiful and unspoiled by buildings

You head onto the Trans Pennine Trail where wildlife is in abundance, as is the change in terrain from tarmac to gravel and back to tarmac, with single file riding and pot hole spotting a must. The way back to Burscough is a busier one so a stop off in Maghull for a coffee or sandwich is a must.

A mixture of busy roads and quiet rural lanes take you back to Burscough.
