Robin Park Community Open Day Bike Ride - Take 2.

British Cycling and Inspiring Healthy lifestyles would like to invite you to come and celebrate the official opening of the new leisure facilities at Robin Park Leisure centre and Robin Park Arena.
The meet and greet will take place outside the leisure centre reception. Following this, the ride will commence across the Robin Park Arena car park and then we will cycle virtually traffic-free around the perimeter of the DW Stadium and over the bridge of the River Douglas to access the Leeds and Liverpool canal. From here we turn left and follow the towpath towards Burscough, passing Crooke Village, Gathurst, Apply Bridge and Parbold. Here at Burscough, we will have a 30 minute stop for anyone wanting to take on extra refreshments. (Burscough Wharf Marina, various Cafes).We then return back to the leisure centre via the canal towpath.

The towpath is suitable for most types of bikes but it can be a little muddy and wet in places if there has been plenty of rain.
