Starting point

South Yorkshire
S6 6LA

This ride leaves from the Flask End cafe in Low Bradfield at 8:30am and heads out along the flat road along the south western bank of Damflask Reservoir. When we reach the junction on the other side of the Dam we turn right up a hill (there are three lay-bys where you can stop for a breather if you need to) and then take a left to drop down hill back to the cafe. There is then the option to do another lap or stop for refreshments. If you prefer an even easier option, you can also turn around at the Dam and ride back to the cafe along the flat side of the reservoir. Whatever we do, we'll all meet back up at the cafe by 9:30am. This is a great ride to do if you're new to cycling or returning after a break and a perfect opportunity to meet the Wheel Do It! group! A longer, hillier ride is leaving from the Flask End at 10am, so there is also the opportunity to meet some of the rest of the group for a chat before they set off. We're a very friendly, welcoming and encouraging group and it would be great to welcome new people!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
We recommend that all participants wear a helmet. Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather.
As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre-ride checks; we recommend that you also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump (CO2 inflators are also highly recommended). It is also a good idea to carry a spare chain link that matches your bike’s chain (e.g. 9, 10 or 11 speed). If you have a mechanical problem we will do our best to assist you and/or lend you an inner tube or repair kit if we can, but it is always best to be self-reliant. Don’t forget to bring money for refreshments and a mobile phone.
