This ride adds a couple of miles to the route from 2 weeks ago. We'll begin by heading up Loxley Road past Damflask and through High Bradfield before turning right up Bolsterstone Road and onto Onesacre Road. From there we have a lovely swooping descent followed by some steep twisty downhills that take us to a lovely flat section along the side of Broomhead Reservoir. The route then climbs up through Wigtwizzle before we turn left onto Mortimer Road. We then ride across Strines Moor, with two short but fairly steep climbs before we reach the Strines Inn. After crossing a final stretch of moorland we turn left onto Sugworth Road, pass the top of Blindside Lane and turn left onto Ughill Wood Lane. We then drop down to Low Bradfield where we'll stop at the Flask End cafe for coffee and cake. There is then an easy 5 miles of mostly flat or downhill roads back to the start. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS We recommend that all participants wear a helmet. Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather. As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre-ride checks; we recommend that you also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump (CO2 inflators are also highly recommended). If you have a mechanical problem we will do our best to assist you and/or lend you an inner tube or repair kit if we can, but it is always best to be self-reliant. Don’t forget to bring money for refreshments and a mobile phone. DISCLAIMER This is a purely social group of like-minded people sharing a love of cycling, it is not a formal organisation nor does it have any form of legal structure. We do not profess to be trained ride leaders but do have experience of doing so. You are free to choose to ride with us but in doing so please note that you do so in acceptance that this is entirely at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for any loss or injury suffered as a result of your participation. Please also read the terms and conditions on the website
