Wheel Do It! with Sheffield Ride Leaders and Champions (Long Lane to Strines)

This ride starts off climbing up Loxley Road and turns right up Long Lane to Kirk Edge Road before passing through High Bradfield. From there we continue across the moors, turning right onto Mortimer Road. After some more ups and downs we'll reach our refreshment stop at the Strines Inn. After coffee and a chat with the other Wheel Do It! group, we'll continue across Strines Moor and return to the start point via some more winding lanes with great views. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS We recommend that you wear a helmet. Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather. As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre-ride checks; you should also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump, and tools to enable you to change a tube if necessary. Don’t forget to bring money for refreshments and a mobile phone. Start of Loxley Road just after the bus stop after the pedestrian crossing/traffic lights. There is parking nearby at the Malin Bridge Park and Ride carpark across from Malin Bridge tram terminus off Holme Lane (cost £1; do not drive in with bikes on the roof as there is a height barrier)
