Start at the far end of Combs Road in Bakewell and then cycle the down through Rowsley to Matlock. Onwards to Cromford and then up to Middleton Top. We then cycle the full length of the High Peak trail before coming down the Peak Bridleway to the Monsal trail and then returning to Bakewell. Around 2,000 feet of climbing and just over 40 miles.

This is a lovely route which takes in full length of the Monsal and High Peak trails. Predominantly trail with some road sections. Just under 50 miles in length with just over 2,000 feet of climbing, including the final off road section back to Bakewell. There is also a small track we will walk up to King Sterndale.

Best suited for a gravel / hybrid with low gears.

Plenty of places to stop en route for toilets / drinks / snacks. Recommend you bring a picnic lunch which we'll probably have around Parsley Hay.

Helmets required. Money for cafe stops. Tools / pump / inner tube etc to fix your bike.

We never leave anyone behind
