This is one of my favourite rides out of Whittington, a 26.5mile loop to the north stopping at Rosliston Forestry Centre for a drink. The route passes through Elford, Harlaston, Haunton, Clifton Campville, Chilcote, Netherseal, Cotton in the Elms, Rosliston, Catton Park, the Sittles flatlands before returning to Whittington. Note: If the weather forecast is poor (eg strong wind/heavy rain) this ride may be shortened depending on the riders wishes on the day. It will be cancelled if the forecast is ice/snow! We will stop at the Cafe in Rosliston Forestry Centre (at approx 16miles), a popular venue for cyclists with it's roaring log burner and good food/cake. In addition we will also stop on request for a snack/drink (bring your own), just let me know. ROAD BIKES OR LIGHT HYBRIDS ONLY unless you are a strong athlete/can manage an average of 12mph easily on a much heavier Mountain bike. If you have any questions please contact me at [email protected] or if you are running late on the day please call 0781 8241720 Useful items to bring include: snack, drink, puncture repair kit, pump, mobile phone, helmet (recommended but not essential), gloves, water proof, money & bike lock for tea/coffee stop. NOTE: Other Breeze rides head out from Whittington offering a variety of types/distances so keep an eye out on the Breeze website or contact me for further details.
