We're going to our usual cafe stop at Tredegar House but taking a more varied route than usual. I like to mix things up a bit! The good news is, you will descend Western avenue but you have a small climb at Brickyard lane and a slightly more challenging climb past Tiny Rebel at Rogerstone. Its all doable though and I won't leave you behind.

A varied route from Wickes to Tredegar House going along the canal, up Brickyard lane, via Western Ave to Tredegar House and back via Bassaleg and 14 locks canal centre returning to Wickes

Includes dedicated sustrans routes and some roads with moderate traffic

Bring your helmets, cash for your stop, any snacks, a spare inner tube and check your tyres are pumped
