Winchester down Gander Down

Everyone welcome on this ride!

We will head out of Winchester taking the cycle path along the river. There will be a short stretch of main road before we take the quieter roads through Twyford and then our route climbs up to Owslebury. Our effort will be rewarded with the lovely views along Longwood Rd and Gander Down.Cycling through the pretty villages of Ovington and Avington to Easton for refreshments at The Chestnut Horse. We will return to Winchester via Longwalk and the lovely downhill of Quarry Rd to our starting point.

Inevitably there are hills on this ride but we will travel at an easy pace and no one will be left behind. This is a scenic ride through the Hampshire countryside. The refreshment stop is towards the end of the ride so please bring a snack if you think you might need something on route.

Please remember to cancel your place with as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend, as places are limited.

Things to bring:
- A well fitting cycling helmet
- Suitable clothing for the weather and hi-vis if possible
- Money/credit card for cafe stop
- A spare inner tube, tyre levers and pump in case of a puncture.
