Car park behind: The Woodborough Inn Sandford Road, Winscombe Somerset BS25 1HD

We will meet in the free car park behind The Woodborough Inn, in the heart of Winscombe village, starting with a brief introduction, bike check and warm up. This ride from Winscombe is fairly flat, approx. 16.5 mile ride that follows a pretty, rural route down the Strawberry Line to Sandford, on the road to Puxton and Wick St Lawrence. The Strawberry Line is a disused railway path consisting of a compact gravel surface. This ride is perfect for intermediates - nothing too challenging/fast. This ride is ideal for anyone who is confident riding on the road.. We really welcome newcomers to our rides. We will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. It is a good idea to bring some water on the ride. You may also want to bring some money for a drink in the pub afterwards. We plan to ride at approximately 10 miles per hour taking us approx 1.5 hours. Down some beautiful country lanes, there may be some mud on the road, farm animals, tractors and wildlife to spot. Come and get some fresh air and meet some new friends by joining this fun, sociable bike ride for women. We look forward to seeing you there! Toilet facilities are available in the village before and after the ride. Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential. Please book online in advance. It makes our job easier on the day.
