Ride heads towards Burtonwood then Haydock to reach Billinge and the first two hills. From here we drop down into Rainford and a well deserved break at a choice of cafes tbc.
After a break we head through the pretty village of Crawford then climb tower hill. Down Alma hill (take care) and back to Billinge. We head back to the Swan via Ashton and over the East Lancs at which point you may have to wait to cross. Along Newton High street and onto the Swan for well deserved refreshment.
