Starting on the River Mersey with a ferry ride across the river we will be venturing along the Wirral way cycle path, with a little bit of road work.
Heading from the Seacome ferry terminal towards New Brighton, we will stop for a group pic at the castle. Then along the river to West Kirkby. Here we take up the country pathway to Parkgate where we will have a well deserved rest before heading off on the return journey.
Now heading back mainly on roads, The first of the hills hits us as we leave Parkgate. Don't worry we stop and wait, but i will be last up anyway. Then we head towards the historic village of Port Sunlight. Final push back along the river to the Wallasey ferry terminal.
Please check you bike the night before and make you bring the basic tools and at least two spare inner tubes, and a repair kit.
(CAUTION the trail part is often cover in thorns). This ride can be ridden on any type of bike but please be aware that part of the ride is dirt and loose gravel.
This ride is NOT suitable for new riders or under 18's.
We will be riding at a nice pleasant pace to enjoy the ride, places and each other company.
