Wivenhoe to Walton on the Naze 28 miles
Jun 17, 2018
(Cycling)
We are cycling from the beautiful Wivenhoe on the River Colne to the sea and then along the coast to Walton-the-Naze with its famous sea mark and nature reserve.
We pedal out of Wivenhoe to Great Bentley where we stop for morning coffee and cakes at the Barn Cafe
https://en-gb.facebook.com/TheBarnCafeatCarpentersFarm/ Then back on our bikes, we pedal south to St Osyth where we may stop for lunch at the Kings Arms
https://www.facebook.com/KingsArmsStOsyth Or we may decide to wait until we get to Clacton and have lunch somewhere there.
We soon hit the coast at Seawick and we follow Cycle Route 150 through Clacton, Frinton to Walton on the Naze. We will stop somewhere on along the coast for afternoon tea and possibly scones. When we get to Walton we can dismount and explore the Naze nature reserve, admire the views and perhaps go up to the top of the old sea mark tower
