Woking to the Medicine Garden, Cobham - A Longer Ride, so not suitable for Beginners or those who don't like riding at a slightly quicker pace.
The Medicine Garden is a project of restoring the old Victorian kitchen walled garden that used to be part of Cobham Park that dates back to 1850. The Garden Pod Cafe is in the what used to be the Potting Shed, where there are plenty of homemade cakes to enjoy.
We will meet on the bridge by the canal, usual starting place. After a quick bike check we will head off towards Woking out through Sheerwater to West Byfleet, then go out to Wisley. Once we have crossed the A3 by footbridge (you will need to be able to lift your bike) We will go out through Ockham and then onto Cobham. This ride is on the road and is a longer ride around (23 miles) and there are a couple of smallish hills. It is a linear route from Ockham to Cobham and we retrace our ride for this section. From Cobham back to Ockham there is a longish drag that is up hill, but quite manageable.
We will stop for refreshments so please bring some money. Please bring a lock to secure your bike whilst we stop, your bike will be out of sight when we are in the cafe.
Once refreshed we will retrace our route back to Woking, however so we will ride so no one will be left behind.
Wearing a helmet is not compulsory though we do have to travel along a main road.
PLEASE NOTE IF IT IS RAINING ON THE DAY THE RIDE MAYBE CANCELLED AT SHORT NOTICE
