We set off through Kings Norton park along Route 5 of the national cycling network. We then join the Birmingham and Worcester canal to Bournbrook Walkway which takes us to Woodgate Valley where the cycle path takes us through fields and woodland to the cafe. There are no hills! We will return by the same route - it always looks different travelling in the opposite direction!

This is an off road route along canals, through parks, through woodland all beautiful especially at this time of year. We will go at a gentle pace so the ride is particularly suitable for women wanting to become more confident on two wheels.

The route is entirely traffic free.

We will stop at the country park cafe but best to bring your own drink and snack as the opening hours of the cafe are uncertain at present. . .

Always check your bike is road worhty, tyres pumped up, brakes working. Wear a helmet, bring a pump and spare tyre - just in case!

We especially welcome newbies!
