These rides are suitable for anyone, the rides will be gentle and although may have some inclines there will be nothing too hilly.
The distance will vary according to participants speed between 8-12mph (or less if needed). There is a 'no drop' policy, everyone on ride stays together as a group and encourages those who may need a little extra help.
We welcome experienced cyclists but you must stay with the group and the pace set by the slowest if you are unable or are not willing to do this we may ask you to leave the ride for safety reasons but rest assured there are other rides which you would be welcome to join :-)
It is not a race or competition we just want to encourage new people to try cycling so come along and have some fun!
We ask ladies to wear helmets, ensure bike is road worthy, tyres inflated to correct pressure, bring puncture repair kit or inner tubes, bike pump or CO2 gas canisters, appropriate clothing, drink for journey, cycle lock and cash for refreshments afterwards.
If you book and can't make it please let me know 24 hours in advance before the ride except in unusual circumstances by cancelling place on website so I know within good time when checking attendance register.
We are volunteers and if you are the only one booked on to a ride and do not cancel I do not wish to be waiting at the venue for you :-)
