Worksop to Clumber to Sherwood Forest

A scenic route starting on the outskirts of Worksop, following route 6 to Clumber park over the old Manton Pit Tip, we head out of Clumber and head for Sherwood Forest, hopefully catching sight of Robin Hood's famous Major Oak Tree. The ride is a mix of trails/tracks and roads.

We will stop for a coffee at the cafe near the craft centre at Sherwood Forest.

The route is’nt too challenging although there is a climb over the pit tip and a couple of undulating roads and trails here and there, but nothing too challenging (we can always stop and walk). The ride is suitable for Hybrid, Trail, Cyclocross and Mountain Bikes

Please wear comfortable clothing suited to the weather. It is recommended that you carry spare inner tubes, puncture repair kit and a multi tool, just in case you have any mechanical issues. Please check before the ride, that your bike is in a road worthy condition.

It’s a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up along the way. Please bring some money if you want to buy refreshments/cake at the café stop.

Wearing a helmet is highly recommended, though not essential.
