Starting point

West Sussex

This is a steady, mainly off road ride to Crawley Down and back along the beautiful wildlife corridor of the Worth Way. The surface of this shared use path is mostly gravel, with some muddy patches, therefore suitable for mountain and hybrid bikes.
The nearest toilets are in Maidenbower Pavilion at the start of the ride. Please note that the entrance into the public carpark at the Maidenbower Pavilion has a height barrier – if you carry your bike on the roof of the car, alternative parking is available at the Maidenbower shops opposite the park.
We will cycle to Crawley Down, where we will have a brief stop – please bring a biscuit bar or similar snack, or money to buy something in the local shop – there are no cafe or toilet facilities at Crawley Down, so the plan is to head on back to Maidenbower for a drink or snack together at Stepney's cafe in Maidenbower Pavilion.
Don't forget suitable clothing, a drink, spare inner tube, puncture repair kit and a pump (and any medication you may require). Please give your bikes tyres, brakes and gears a check over before you come along and consider a service if you haven't used it recently! Wearing a helmet is advisable. We welcome beginners.
Please call me if you have any queries about the ride or your ability to participate. Laura 07812 135727
