Starting point

AL4 9UR

We will start at Sandridge Village Hall. There is a free car park but if it is full there is free parking around the streets. We will head off up towards Harpenden road via the lanes and then on to see if the bluebells are still out in Childwickbury. On to Southdown via Harpenden golf course then up to Nomansland where we will make our way over to Symonshyde woods. The coffee stop won't be far away from here, then back to Sandridge via Jersey Lane. We will travel at around 8-9mph so a steady pace for all to keep up,

For those ladies that have been on a few yellow rides and want to start to push themselves or those that have lost confidence and want to do a slightly longer more challenging ride

Mostly on lanes and quiet roads but there will be a couple of places when we are on the main road for a little while

We are planning to stop at JJAM which is the new name for Ospreys apparently, for a refreshment stop

Please make sure you wear a helmet, bring a mask, drink, sunscreen and money for the coffee stop. We will be following social distancing rules and therefore unable to swap or use each others equipment so please make sure you have your own spare inner tubes, pump, alternative means to get home if necessary or money for a taxi home. At the time of writing British Cycling recommend riding at least 1m apart. Participants must not attend a ride if they have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms. First timers to Breeze rides are welcome if you are confident on the major roads.. There will also be one or 2 inclines to push yourself. We will take them slowly and always have regular stops at the top of hills and throughout to see if everyone is ok. we don't leave anyone behind.
