There is a change to the route due to the amount of rain in such a short time, we will start from the carpark just over the canal bridge and head out to Braithwaite where we will pick up the tpt following the tpt all the way to York and back and I usually vary the route a little on the return route.

Please do not book on this ride if you haven’t ridden at least 60 miles previously. This is a challenging day and everyone wants to enjoy it.

The aim is to ride no faster than 12 mph on the way out unless there is a back wind to conserve energy for the first timers.

Please note this is a social ride with people who have done the route many many times, we are all responsible for ourselves.
Please note some will be riding mtb for this epic ride

Your bike must be in good running order to keep stops on this ride down to a minimum. Please bring inner tubes and tools to mend a puncture and have someone on standby incase you have an issue.

We will stop at the apple blossom campsite in both directions and the park in York. This is to cut down on waiting to be served times. Please bring change for the coffee machine.

Smiles are compulsory

We follow the trans penine trail all the way into York

This is a mix of trails, disused railways, tow paths and even a runway. There will also be some quiet roads.

We will have a stop in Snaith on the way there and Hurdt Courtney on the way back. We can also have quick rest stops to catch a photo or a drink.

Please wear a helmet and bring a drink, we can refill at certain places on route. You will need to carry two spare inner tubes for this ride and a pump and tools to mend a puncture. Please prepare yourself for this ride by building up your mileage. Message me if you need help with this. Please note I am only a level 1 ride leader so cannot officially lead over thus distance, this is a social ride so we are all respobsibke for ourselves. Please bring working lights this ride may finish in the dark
