Bournemouth Pier to Swanage

Starting by the pier in Bournemouth you will make your way West along the promenade. At the end of the promenade you will join the road toward the chain ferry taking in the sights of Poole harbour and the lovely Brownsea island. Boarding the chain ferry (£2 needed for return fare) which will take you across to the Studland peninsular. After alighting the ferry, the route will then take you past some beautiful Purbeck scenery as you head for Studland village. Get ready for the climb out of the village which rises nearly 300 feet. However after all that effort to get to the top, you will be able to virtually freewheel all the way to the beachfront at popular tourist resort of Swanage. After some refreshments and possibly a quick look round you will head back on the return route.
