This 14 mile loop explores the quiet country lanes and villages just north of Preston and is mostly flat, with just a couple of short climbs to provide a welcome challenge. The route starts and finishes in Broughton and heads off on an anticlockwise loop towards Goosnargh before turning north towards Inglewhite, with great views of Beacon Fell at the edge of Bowland. You'll then head west, crossing over the M6 at Bilsborrow before crossing the pretty Lancaster Canal. You'll then head south through Cuddy Hill and Barton, retracing your steps back to Broughton. There are plenty of pub stops on the way and your efforts will be rewarded with great views throughout. The picture postcard church of St Hilda's is a particular treat.
