This route combines the tranquillity of nature reserves and open spaces with the modernity and bustle of Middlesbrough's city centre. Using National Cycle Network Route 65's traffic-free paths and suburban roads, you'll weave your way through the city on a circular route which takes in the nature reserve at Marton West Beck (one of the mighty Tees' tributaries) and the Grade II listed Albert Park before arriving at Centre Square, in the heart of the city. If ever a route showcased the diversity of cycling landscapes on offer in Middlesbrough, this flat, steady nine-miler is the one.
