Historic Cuerden

This four mile route follows gentle paths through the delightful Cuerden Country Park with its enchanting walled gardens, mansion house, woods and riverside views. The park also has a wildlife and conservation centre and the ruins of Lower Kern Mill, with the River Lostock threading its way through. There are numerous picnic spots in the park and the ride is totally traffic-free, making it a firm favourite for families with young children or anyone looking for an easy, relaxing day on the bike.
