Starting point

John Smeaton Leisure Centre, Smeaton Approach off Barwick Road

Leeds

This is a fantastic route with a mix of woodland trails, bridleways and quite roads, ideal to grow confidence cycling on all terrain. There are some small 'bumps' (ok minor hills!) to get the heart pumping. Starting and finishing at John Smeaton Leisure centre in East Leeds, the rout visits the Parlington estate, discovers hidden trails, chases golf balls across the local golf course (honestly - it's legal!), and experiences pretty quiet roads on the edge of Leeds that you've never realised existed. An ideal route for adults and older children wanting to progress onto quiet roads.  Not recommended for young children (unless they are very confident riders experienced on roads) or children's buggies.
