Kedleston and Longford 25 Miler

This is a very scenic route in beautiful surroundings to the North West of Derby. The route commences from Mundy Play Centre at Markeaton Park. It leaves Derby, passes through the grounds of the idyllic Kedleston Park, then climbs steadily before crossing the A52 at Brailsford. The route then crosses Long Lane and travels on quiet lanes through gorgeous countryside to Sutton On the Hill, turns North to Longford and then returns to the A52 along Long Lane. There is a variety of Public Houses for refreshment along the route and the ride finishes with a short detour through Mackworth Old Village before returning to the start. The route includes rolling terrain and some climbing but the scenery is more than worth it.
