Messingham

A fairly flat circular route taking in the Trent bank, a picturesque route through Laughton Forest and a coffee and cake stop at Blyton Ice cream Parlour, renowned for its home made ice cream and fabulous cakes! You leave Messingham heading west down to the River Trent  - if you are lucky you may even spot the Black Bank lion! Then south along the Trent side (although you'll have to climb the flood bank to see the water!) to Susworth where you turn east briefly before riding south again on a pretty road through Laughton Forest. Then through Laughton village to Blyton; why not have a break at the Ice Cream Parlour with an immense range of ice cream flavours and lovely cakes? Suitably refreshed you'll head east to Kirton Lindsey and then north, passing some of the turf fields that have provided turf for the Wembley Stadium. Then back to the starting point in Messingham.
