Millom

Come and try this lovely 6 mile circular route that takes in some spectacular views.  Starting at Millom Recreation Centre you ride a short distance heading out of Millom, then on to quieter roads heading towards the village of Haverigg before picking up the track to the Hodbarrow RSPB Nature Reserve. This is where the route really gets exciting!  We definitely encourage you to bring your cameras as the scenery, the sound of birds and seeing the wild life is spectacular.

As you cycle around the 200 acre lagoon there is a beach where you can stop for a breather and to take in the views before carrying on to the start of Hodbarrow RSPB and head toward Haverigg sea front where there are toilets and a cafe, from here you make your way back to Millom.  Please be aware this route does take in some gentle hills but these really are forgotten when cycling along in the amazing surroundings.
