Mirehouse

A lovely journey along the Old railway line from the edge of Mirehouse to Cleator Moor.

There are various sculptures and signs of the old railway line littering this route making it a visually spectacular route, not to mention the beautiful views onto the western fells as you gently pass Moor Row.

This route is used by thousands of cyclists every year who take part in the Coast To Coast bike ride.  With a nice tarmac traffic free path and a steady climb to Cleator Moor this route is rewarded with a very easygoing descent back into Whitehaven.  Perfect for families and anybody who want a low key ride but high impact views!
