This is a scenic ride giving views of the River Orwell and River Stour estuaries. You will see the Royal Hospital School and Erwarton Hall, a Tudor mansion where Anne Boleyn is reputed to have stayed frequently and the church where she is said to have left instructions for her heart to be buried. Indeed in the 19th century a heart shaped casket was found in the walls and respectfully reinterred there. There is a field which usually contains Alpacas and a farmhouse which keeps peacocks. The 20 mile route is undulating but none of the climbs are very long though a couple will perhaps raise your heart rate a little!
