Somerset Meadow Challenge

This scenic, hilly 19 mile route starts and finishes outside Bath City FC's ground. It climbs out of the city, tracing a twisting, anticlockwise loop passing Newton St Loe and Stanton Prior on quiet narrow lanes through the beautiful Duchy of Cornwall countryside. The route then heads north briefly, before turning south and heading for Marksbury and the pretty village of Priston, with its 12th century church and working watermill. You'll then wind your way through Farmborough and Timsbury before turning east back to Bath via Dunkerton and Southstoke. Views throughout are wonderful, with particularly good vistas as you climb out of the city at the start. There are a number of refreshment stop options along the way where you can refuel and rest tired legs.
