This virtually flat route boasts historical places, stunning countryside and quaint villages. Visit the site where many Spitfires were built, cycle along an old Roman Road as you visit some of the Cotswold’s prettiest towns and villages. Starting in urban Swindon and utilising the cycle routes you pass the infamous site where Spitfires were built and onto Stanton Country Park.  Meander through scenic country roads of Hannington, Casue Eaton and by Kempsford before looping around RAF Fairford.  Pass the fishing and water sports lakes then to Fairford which makes for a great stopping point.  From there you’ll pass Meysey Hampton, Down Ampney and towards Cleveland Lakes Nature Reserve.  Onto the beautiful North Meadow Crickdale National Nature Reserve before the route takes you back through Crickdale, over the River Ray and back into Swindon over the Millennium Bridge.
