This route takes you to Winkwell to see the swing bridge over the Grand Union Canal, The Three Horseshoes a Public Horse since 1535, the boatyard, marina and River Bulbourne. You'll then move on to Potten End to see the recently excavated Little Heath Pit, a shoreline of the North Sea some 2.5 million years age. Finally you'll visit the lovely little village of Potten End with its school, pub and church all around the village green with pond before heading down towards Winkwell enjoying the views as you coast down the hill on the return journey.
