A relatively flat ride on A roads, B roads, residential streets, country roads, country lanes, parklands & cycleways.

From Chorley Station we make our way to Astley Park's shared pedestrian cycleways then along a lovely tree-lined narrow path next to Astley Hall (we have to carry our bikes down a couple of short steps for this). We then continue through Eccleston via another tree-lined avenue before making our descent carefully DOWN Parbold Hill (--12% at steepest point) to reach Bispham Green followed by Croston to finally pause for a much deserved lunch break inside Worden Park in Leyland at El Tano (Italian) Wine & (Argentine) Food Emporium, behind Worden Hall.

The last remaining 3 miles will be ridden along dedicated cycleways through Buckshaw Village to Buckshaw Parkway train station, where the ride ends.
