Down Grange Sports Complex - by the car park at the main entrance off Pack Lane.

NOTE EARLIER START 1810! You can sign up to both weeks or just one week (8th and/or 15th) - check the dates you're signing up to. Starting by the car park at the main entrance to Down Grange Sports Complex, we turn left onto Pack Lane and continue out to Oakley. Once through the village, we take quiet roads to North Waltham and cross the A33 and go over the M3 to head up (and up!) through first Dummer and the to the top of Farleigh Wallop. Fairly flat to start, then climb the whole way from the A33 with a couple of easier sections. A good 13 mile loop for an evening ride. This is less total hills than the 13 mile Ellisfield Loop but the hill(s) are really in one main section (see maps). Suit those with some base fitness who have started to challenge themselves on hills and want to give it a go at this sort of pace (and faster riders who're willing to be social - you can challenge yourselves but wait at the top of hills). Have a look at the route, drive it in a car, walk part of it, or cycle part of it in advance if you're not sure! Mountain bikes are welcome if you know you can do this sort of ride at this sort of pace bearing in mind knobbly tyres on road are just harder work but good fitness! Thanks!
