Ennerdale for a picnic and a paddle.

The aim is to get more Women on their bikes, if you have children bring them along. It’s a great activity for the school holidays. The ride will start at Ennerdale Water, Bleach Green Car Park (1st car park, Weir End of the lake), Directions to Bleach Green Car Park: Go through Ennerdale Bridge Village, passing school heading toward the lake (sign post) follow signs for Bleach Green Car Park. Pass the 1st sets of car parks and go over the long bridge over the river and the Bleach Green Car Park is on your Left. It’s an honesty box car park. The postcode is the nearest I could find. We will cycle toward Bowness Knott Car Park, along the shore of the shared cycle path/track of Ennerdale Water which is mostly flat with lovely views. At the Halfway mark we will stop by the shore to have a picnic before our return journey. Remember to pack a small picnic, drink etc. enough for yourself. We then return by the same route Approx. 5 miles in total. Dress for the weather, a light weight wind jacket might be a good idea because of the sun/wind off the water. Children must wear a helmet. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
