A to B - Ashford to Brighton

The intention is to start in Ashford post code for this is TW15 2AS. (parking available if bringing your bike by car) Alternatively, if you wish you could join us at Chertsey bridge at 08:00 (nearest post code KT16 8LF). The plan is to cycle via the River Wey and the Basingstoke canal to Woking then on back roads to Guildford. We then follow cycle routes to Shoreham which are mainly off of major roads. Final push is along the sea-front from Shoreham to Brighton. Return from Brighton will be via train back to a station of your choosing. At some point during the day, we will find drop in a handy hostelry for lunch and perhaps a pint to celebrate success in Brighton. The route maps show it to be about 65 miles which is slightly longer than last year’s which we completed at 5pm so I’m expecting us to arrive in Brighton a bit later.
