RG21 4QF

Eastrop Park, under the bandstand by the lake, near the car park.

A repeat of the route a few weeks ago, a pretty one, mostly v quiet roads. Route starts in the middle of Eastrop Park and follows the cycle path out of the park east following NCR initially, then turn off it through Old Basing, head for Greywell then back through Upton Grey and re-trace steps back through old Basing to Eastrop. Pretty much all quiet roads though could be some commuter traffic as we head out through Old Basing for a mile or so. If you've not done much road riding, don't worry, we'll explain at the start and we ride in a group, no-one gets left behind. Route is a lot of flat with the occasional 'undulation' so you can build up your hill confidence. Hill challenge this week is the short-ish drag up from Greywell towards Upton Grey. Very worst case, if you've not been out in a while and are worried, it's not far or much slower to walk Also one more hill through Tunworth on the way back. This is aimed at those wanting to build confidence and fitness on the road and looking to ride for over an hour and/or anyone else more experienced happy to be social and enjoy the ride and help encourage others and meet like minded people or do it as a 'recovery ride'. Ideally bring a spare inner tube, come with tyres pumped up well, and as a minimum, check your brakes work! If you're a first-timer, we'll go through some checks with you before we start. See you there! Ruth Any queries, contact us at Breeze Network Basingstoke on Facebook or via email www.facebook.com/breezingstoke [email protected]
