BCQ124 ride to Camden Town from Kenton Rec

This route is part of a series, looking for answers to the clues set by British Cycle Quest https://www.cyclinguk.org/british-cycle-quest. Anyone can take part, and send in answers to the 402 clues at checkpoints around Great Britain. BCQ124 is at Camden Lock and you need to be there to find the answers!

The ride begins at Kenton Recreation Ground and ends at Finchley Road station.

We'll begin by the pump track on Kenton Rec and ride south through Wembley to reach the canal at Stonebridge Park. We ride along the towpath to Little Venice and then skirt Regent's Park to arrive in Camden Town. After we've found the answers at Camden Lock, we'll cycle around the base of Primrose Hill to our cafe stop and then through St John's Wood to Finchley Road station, to take the Met Line back to Harrow (NB e-bikes not allowed). If you prefer, you can use Finchley Road & Frognal station to use the Overground back to the Euston line and Kenton or Harrow & Wealdstone. Don't forget to bring water and a decent bike lock, as we shall be locking up our bikes at the cafe stop. Helmets are a matter of personal choice.

Riding into London to find a clue for British Cycle Quest

About half the route is traffic-free and the rest is mainly on quiet roads with a few moments in traffic

We'll stop to obtain the answers to the BCQ clue at Camden Lock, and then in a cafe off Primrose Hill for refreshments

Bring water, a good strong bike lock and card for the cafe
