This is a beginners session - so we will start with a short introduction to the bike - how to get on and off the bike safely, brakes, gears and the correct seat height. We will then set out steadily on the blue route at Coed Y Brenin. But dont worry if you havent been on a single track trail before the one at Coed Y Brenin is perfect for beginners.

It will all be traffic free, within the forest of Coed Y Brenin. Off road trails differ greatly, however the minatour trail is less of a rough surface to try, we then return on the fire road.

We will stop whenever we need to for people. We do have regular stops throughout generally, and the whole group are very sociable.

You will require a proper cycling helmet, that has the CE label inside - if you are unsure please get in touch, but we should be able to borrow helmets from the bike shop if needed. Also, cycle gloves if you have them are advised, or any sort of glove if this is not available. Shoes should be able to be fitted securely ideally. Please bring water, a small backpack is advisable to put the water and any little snacks in. You will also need a little money for a coffee at the end of the morning if you wish to stay for coffee. Please note there are new charges for the carpark. £2 for the first 2 hours, 40p for every 20mins afterwards. The morning shouldn't be any longer than 2.5 hrs.

First timers are welcome and this is a ride specifically dedicated to beginners, or those who would like a little more confidence on single track.
