Starting point

Buckinghamshire
HP16 9AL

- We will ride on lovely country lanes with spectacular views, out past the Lacey Green Windmill and Saunderton to the Apple Orchard café in West Wycombe, via this route https://ridewithgps.com/routes/36227940 and back the same way
- There are some sharp ascents and descents, so you need to be a competent cyclist, but we will take the hills at our own pace and regroup at the top. Nobody will get left behind.
- Please bring the usual cycling stuff (spare inner tubes, lightweight “cafe lock”, etc. I would prefer you to wear a helmet for your safety.
- There are 2 car parks in Link Road. If you are in a car park and can’t see any toilets then you need to cross the road to the car park on the north side of the road.
- If you are driving to the start, the Link Road Carpark costs £2.50 for 4hrs. You might like to download the Ringgo Parking App in advance (as the carpark no longer takes coins). You can park for free on residential roads north of the town centre like Rignall Road and cycle to the start.
- You can usually get to Great Missenden by train from stations on the Met line using Chiltern Rail, e.g. Harrow on the Hill, but this week there may be disruption due to the planned strikes (even though they have been cancelled). It is only a 2-minute ride downhill from the station to the Link Road car park. If you are unsure of the way, I can meet you at the station if you message me beforehand.
- Please check your bike thoroughly before you come. Check your brakes are working well, your gears are smooth and your tyres are in good condition and pumped up – you can use https://www.sustrans.org.uk/our-blog/get-active/2019/everyday-walking-and-cycling/the-m-check-for-your-bike-in-11-steps If that one is too technical then try this easier one https://youtu.be/u0dtGe-LrcQ
- If you have any questions don’t hesitate to message me
