Breeze down Darkinson Lane

This rides is aimed at women who are confident on a bike and want to extend the length of their rides.

We start from the pavilion and head clockwise round the Guild wheel to Cottam. We then cycle around the quiet country lanes north of Preston passing through Clifton, Inskip and Catforth . We will stop here for coffee then make our way to UCLAN Sports Arena . From here we head to Ashton Park then rejoin the guild wheel at Preston Docks. This is a scenic route on rolling roads with great views of the Forest of Bowland

Prior to the start of the ride there will be a short bike check and safety brief but please make sure that your bike is in working order before joining the ride.
Please carry a spare inner tube and tools necessary to carry out a puncture repair.

This rides is aimed at women who are confident on a bike and want to extend the length of their rides. We will aim for an average speed of 10-11 miles an hour.

Some cycle paths and quiet country lanes which are gently undulating with good views of the Forest of Bowland.

Café stop at Roots just over halfway.

Please bring some water and be prepared for cold/wet weather conditions. Riders are advised to wear a helmet and it is compulsory for those under 18 to wear a helmet. Please carry a spare inner tube and tools necessary to carry out a puncture repair.
