Starting point

Greater Manchester
BL0 9AU

Starting from Ramsbottoms Nuttall Park, we will head to Stubbins and Irwell Vale onto Route 6 along the trail then a road incline up tp Edenfield and down the A56 (the quieter end!) to Rowlands Road for a café visit to Falshaws, then down into Summerseat along quiet roads and mountain bike trails up to Lonsight Road for a short distance, down along the side of Holcombe Tennis club, up Summerseat Lane to Holcombe Brook and along the A676 for a brief spell then back onto the quiet roads and trails of Route 6 back to Nuttall Park. This is a mixed route, with some rough trails and long inclines. Suitable for a mountain or hybrid bike with grippy tyres. You will need a level of fitness and confidence to cope with some short steep inclines but if you need to get off and walk sometimes, its not a problem! Bring a helmet, roadworthy bike, inner tube specific to your bike and dress for the weather. Check your typres are pumped up and your seat height is high enough. Have it as high as you can manage which eases the strain on your knees! Check your brakes are working. if they aren't you will not be allowed to ride. The more comfortable and efficient your bike is the more you will enjoy the ride! If its been in the shed a while a bike service at a reputable shop is a good idea.
