Breeze Ricky to the Retired Horses Home

The starting point for this ride is Amersham Station. We will meet at Rickmansworth Station at 11:00 to catch the 11:13 train. I am sorry but if you're late we can't wait. Please don't leave it until the last minute as you will need to carry your bike over the bridge.

If you prefer, you can get on the tube at Chorleywood which will be approximately 11:16. We arrive at Amersham Station at 11:24 so anyone who wishes to start from Amersham can be there for that time. Please let me know if you plan to start somewhere other than Ricky. We will get on the middle carriage.

There is a modest £1 entrance fee but donations are welcome. I am not sure if they will accept contactless for the £1 entrance so please ensure you have a £1 coin in case.

When we arrive we will first visit the horses and then stop at the cafe afterwards.

This is a new ride for Breeze Rickmansworth. We will be visiting the Retired Horses Home in Speen

This ride will be train assisted to make the ride a bit shorter.

We'll stop at The Horse Trust in Speen which is a home for retired horses. We will visit the many horses who live here after various careers as service horses. To find out more please visit the website: https://horsetrust.org.uk/

Helmets are compulsory on my rides. Please also check your bike is roadworthy before leaving to join us this includes making sure that your tyres are adequately inflated. Also bring with you at least one spare inner tube, a pump and any tools you will need in case of a puncture.
