Breeze to Chiswick House

This ride starts and finishes at Herne Hill. If you are not sure about the meeting point please message the ride leader.
You should bear in mind that there are some challenging aspects on this ride to Chiswick. We will maintain a brisk pace overall to make up for the slower pace on the gravel.
We'll ride over Clapham common as far as Wandsworth common and drop down towards the river, crossing over at Wandsworth bridge. Quiet roads and through the Bishop's park and along the Thames path to Chiswick house .
There'll be a coffee stop at the Chiswick house café.
Then we'll return via Hammersmith bridge, Putney and Battersea.
A few hilly bits between Clapham and Wandsworth, but not steep, whereas on the return there's a couple of stinkers. Mostly quiet roads but a few busy sections so you should be confident in traffic and be able to keep up with the pace. Some sections of the Thames path will have to be walked. The garden paths are gravelly and we will ride a gravel section of the Thames path so this ride is not suitable for road bikes with skinny tyres.
