Breeze to Downe and Berry's Loop

A popular route via Downe and along the pretty Berry's Lane. There are some challenging hills and some short sections on fairly busy roads. If it is too hot we may shorten the route.

This ride includes some hills which can be challenging and a couple of sections on busy roads.

Riding mainly on quiet country lanes, from Hayes we head up a gradual uphill towards and then past Keston. After a short section on the busy Westerham Road we turn off towards Downe and climb a fairly steep hill into Downe. After Downe we will head towards Biggin Hill, turning off to Berrys Lane which leads us to the Sampan. From there we will ride down towards Biggin Hill turning off and the ride back is mainly downhill.

We will have a coffee stop at the Lookout cafe at Biggin Hill Airport. Bring a lock as we need to leave the bikes outside.

Dress appropriately for the weather. Helmets are always recommended. Bring a spare inner tube for your bike, a drink, and money/card for refreshments.
