A ride to NOW Gallery in North Greenwich. We’ll visit the exhibition Socks: The Art of Care and Repair, by London based textile artist Celia Pym. In addition to a colourful installation of socks, each stitched and darned by the Surrey Square Primary School, there are interactive displays on textiles mending and repair.
The idea behind Socks: The Art Of Care And Repair is to encourage a feeling of resilience, to be able to mend something; to play creatively with colour and yarn, and to foster a sense of care for ourselves, our clothes, the environment, and the people around us.

We’ll ride to and from the gallery via the Waterlink Way and the Thames path. There’ll be a coffee break near the gallery. Please bring a sturdy lock since we’ll leave our bikes unattended while we’re inside the gallery.
