Breeze to Saswick farm

This is a steady ride aimed at women who are confident on a bike and wish to extend the length of their rides. The route take us around the quiet lanes north of Preston passing through small Hamlets and stopping halfway for coffee in the popular café at Saswick farm. We start off from the pavilion café in avenham park and head clockwise round the Guildwheel to Miller Green. Here we head to Woodplumplton, Inskip and Elswick where we have our well earned coffee break. From the café we continue to Roseacre, Wharles then Treales where we head back towards Bartle Hall and finally rejoin the guild wheel and trace our steps back to Avenham Park. The route is mainly flat with some small inclines to try out our climbing legs.
We will aim for an average speed of 10-11 miles an hour.
Please bring some water and be prepared for cold/wet weather conditions.
Riders are advised to wear a helmet and it is compulsory for those under 18 to wear a helmet.
Please carry a spare inner tube and tools necessary to carry out a puncture repair
Prior to the start of the ride there will be a short bike check and safety brief but please make sure that your bike is in working order before joining the ride.
