This is an undulating route on some quiet roads through Selhurst and Norbury to Streatham Common. There are however, some busy roads and junctions to cross so you should be a confident cyclist. And particularly a couple of uphill junctions crossing busy roads where you will need your wits about you and be confident in the control of your bike.
Although it is not a long ride, it does have a number of hilly bits and some of the climbs are a bit of a long slog, so you will need your climbing legs. Our reward is the charming Rookery Garden where we will dismount and walk through to the coffee stop at the equally charming Rookery cafe.
We will return via West Norwood and Dulwich before picking up the familiar Waterlink way. The ride will end at Catford.
Please make sure you are dressed appropriately for the weather and that you have checked that your bike is in good working order. Are those tyres pumped up to the correct pressure? Is your chain nice and clean? Have you checked your brakes?
Make sure your details on your profile are up-to-date, in particular that we have a phone number for you.
